Don’t Die With Your Song Unsung

I remember reading somewhere, none of the great people
ever died with their song unsung.
One could also say, they became great because they made sure to sing their song.
You may remember the wonderful hit by the Carpenters in the ’70’s,
“Sing, sing a song, sing out loud, sing out strong…”

Are you singing your song?
Maybe it’s a poem waiting to be written,
a story waiting to be told,
an invention waiting for discovery,
talents and time to give to your favorite charity,
a new business to be created,
or mentoring a child or young adult.
There are a myriad of ways and only you know if you’re singing your song.

When I returned to the States in 2010, after my decade in Beijing,
the realization hit me one day that I wasn’t singing my song.
With my 70th birthday looming near,
I contemplated that Father Time was ticking away
and I needed take action –
I did not want to die with my song unsung.

I finally began writing my book that was my long held dream.
Now that my memoir is an Amazon best seller,
my next step is to spread my message –
It’s never too late to dream once again!

Dream your dream – Sing your song!

"The future belongs to those who believe
in the beauty of their dreams.”
