Any Age Is A Good Age To Begin

I found this written on a 8×10 yellow pad among my pages of hand written notes,
piled in a letter tray, along with folders of more notes.
No idea when I’d written this, likely sometime last year.
Whenever a thought occurs to me, I simply jot it down
and put it somewhere where it could be found later.

When I come across my notes, sometimes just a phrase, like this one,
sometimes a couple of paragraphs, waiting to be typed into a blog,
or into my journal, I am often happily surprised.
Sometimes I say to myself, “that’s really good!”
And sometimes a tear would come, as I am touched and inspired by what I read.

“Any Age is a Good Age to Begin”…this was likely a possible title for a talk.
I have quite a few possible titles!
It’s another way to express my deeply held belief, “It’s Never Too Late.”
There are so many examples of people who did and are doing, amazing things
in their 70s, 80s and even in their 90s!

Grandma Moses started painting at the age of 76 because she had to give up embroidery due to arthritis.
A 75 year old woman won the national championship in cha-cha,
after she started dancing at the age of 71!
And, there have been first time authors in their 90s.
I trust my first book will be published way before then!

Whatever your age or stage of life, I’m sure you have a goal or dream.

Now is a good time to begin!

"The future belongs to those who believe
in the beauty of their dreams.”

Eleanor Roosevelt
