At the beginning of this new year, many of us are hard at work
creating our plans and strategies for the year ahead,
so we can have a fulfilled and successful 2017.
What if, by playing more, we actually got more done?
Sounds like an oxymoron, right?
In Wayne Dyer’s words:
“You’ll simplify your life and feel inspired if you learn to play
rather than work your way through life…
get back in touch with your real, playful self, and take every opportunity to play!”
By all accounts he was highly successful.
Here’s what Abraham Hicks has to say:
“Do something frivolous that makes you happy and then everything else will follow,
all the meaningful things, all the service things, all the beneficial things,
and all the monetarily wonderful things will come from that.”
Sounds too good to be true! You mean playing more can lead to more success?
This is something I’m working on for myself,
as someone who grew up with the belief
that I had to get all my work done before I played.
Yes, playing always seemed rather frivolous to me, so unproductive!
Now, I can adopt the new belief that playing can actually help me get more done,
in less time, and have better results.
Sounds like this is worth a try, and I might even have a lot of fun!
How about you? What are your beliefs about playing and working?
